I find that for most events there is a lack of communication to the parents in regards to where the said event is going on ie: tucker house on Nov 9th, it was not specified that the event was being held outdoors no matter the weather and we arrived totally un prepared for the soggy and damp outdoor conditions including lots of mud. If we were told that the event was to be held outdoors and seeing the weather, we would have been prepared with rubber boots etc...but then afterwards spending additional time washing coats and scrubbing shoes to clean all the mud. There must be more info as to what is going on at these events so that parents can properly prepare for such outings and dress accordingly to the weather.
Hello ! I'M looking forward to your up-date of events for January(already dun dat)through to, maybe, March? It would help those of us who've endured the flu season but missed events/bulletins. For example, where is Drouin Farm located/map? When do you need payment and parent involvment? Can we leave early (other family commitments) and list of things to bring/what to expect (cabin/bunk/airmattress). I know not everyone uses this site for info, but it is less intrusive than calling a leader at some ungodly hour 'cause I just remebered at 11:22pm !!!
Also we've really enjoyed all the events this year, esp. sleepovers and the Beaveree stuff!! The leadership and kids have been such good troopers even thru the more difficult moments of weather and the unexpected. A BIG TONY THE TIGER CHEER FOR ALL OF YOU !!!!
Anonymous / Dave and Carol,
This is Shere Khan (one of the cub leaders). I am the moderator and caretaker of the website. I'm sorry your comments fell into deaf ears. This is an oversight on my part. I will see to it that your comments make it to the appropriate leaders.
